About

What happens when a lifelong churchgoing skeptic experiences the saving power of God–through the Holy Spirit’s power, because of what Jesus has done–in an undeniably real, powerful way? Many things, one of which was this blog.

“But may it never be that I would boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” – the Apostle Paul as inspired by the Holy Spirit, circa 50 A.D. (Galatians 6:14)

I would love to hear from you. Share a story? Have your own doubts?  I’d like to think I can understand where you’re coming from. Comfort, busyness, misinformation, apathy, religion, purported irrelevance, self-consciousness, Christians acting unlike Christ: all roadblocks for myself over the years. True commitment to Jesus and steps of faith according to the Bible were concepts I intellectually understood but hadn’t really practiced. Once I finally did, well, deliverance happened. In the words of one of my favorite modern hymns:

“In Christ Alone, my hope is found…”

After that deliverance moment and encounter with God, it forever removed any doubts about God’s existence. Since then, I’ve had an insatiable appetite to experience more of Him and to share what He has done for me. There’s no shortage of books and films today that discuss how God continues to work in the world today. I’ll also be sharing my thoughts on a number of these here on this blog.
